Tariff

Government of Bhutan has been cautious in controlling the development for the sake of its ever pristine
environment, tradition and culture by fixing standard quality services at a fixed tariff. Tour Operators have to follow
the daily rate per pax for given number of services for each guest, oriented towards high value low impact policy on
the protected areas. The tariff, however, varies between high tourist season and lean season. March to June and
September to December are high tourist season while January and February are too cold and July to August are too
wet season for the tourist to enjoy the travel. Accordingly, there are two different tariffs for the two seasons. Tour
Operators charge US$250 per adult tourist during the high season while the rate comes down to US$200 per adult
pax during lean season.

The amount covers the following services:
 Accommodation in government approved 3 star hotels,
 Food, three meals a day,
 Local transport in comprehensively insured vehicles,
 Tourist Guide, with proficiency in the guests’ language, we hire from open market,
 Trekking gear where required,
 Entry fees, sightseeing.

In case of high end tourists the guests choose to take 5 star hotels and flight services the charges are borne by them.
Some guests also ask us to get international tickets to come to Bhutan. In such cases we buy ticket for them provided
they give us enough time.

Surcharge

Single Traveler pays US$40 per day on top of the tariff as sur charge while each member of a group of two paxes
shall pay US$30 per pax as sur-charge. The prescribed tariff is applicable to members of group consisting of three or
more paxes.
